Use Opini from your AI tool

Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any other tool that speaks MCP to your Opini projects, then ask about your feedback in plain words. Access is read-only, and people's email addresses are never shared.

Connect your AI tool

The server address is https://opini.dev/mcp. When you connect, you sign in to Opini and approve access; your AI tool then sees the projects you can see in the dashboard, and nothing else.

Claude (claude.ai and the desktop app)

In Settings, open Connectors, choose to add a custom connector, and paste the server address.

Add Opini to .cursor/mcp.json (or the global one in your home folder):

ChatGPT and others

Any tool that supports remote MCP servers with sign-in works: add a server with the address above. Menu names differ from tool to tool.

Tools

Your AI tool picks these for you; the list is here for reference.

`list_projects`	The projects you can read. Every other tool takes one, as org/project.
`list_feedback`	The newest feedback: new (triage), on the roadmap, or archived.
`search`	Feedback, roadmap items, comments and release posts that match a query.
`get_feedback`	One message with its page, its roadmap item, and follow-up questions and answers.
`list_roadmap_items`	Roadmap items with their stage and how many people asked, voted and commented.
`get_roadmap_item`	One roadmap item with its description and the messages grouped into it.
`list_pulses`	How people feel about each feature: thumbs up and down, last 14 days and all time.
`list_releases`	Release posts, newest first, with drafts marked.

Privacy

No email addresses, ever. Not the people who sent feedback, not your teammates.
First names only. "Maya", not "Maya Chen".
Emails and phone numbers in messages are masked before they leave Opini, and page links lose their query strings.
Read-only. Your AI tool can't change, archive or send anything.
Only your projects. It acts as you, so it sees what you see in the dashboard.

Disconnect

Remove Opini from your AI tool's connectors or MCP settings. Access also ends when you leave the organisation in Opini.
